- orginal 1913 station by Woodford (later Wanstead & Woodford MB merged in 1934) then into Essex used till 1992. Building in photo appears to be 1950s or 1960s, so 1913 date must be for previous station on Horn Lane
Kelly's Directory of Essex, 1914, page 712
- lists address as Horn Lane, which is different location to Snakes Lane West. Shown on 1920 1:2500 OS map on Horn Lane
